My evolution as a writer began when I fancied myself a playwright at age thirteen, and continued through my days of academic writing, in English and in Spanish. I still swoon over an MLA citation. Since then, I have harnessed a love of writing personal narrative, telling stories, and teaching through my writing. My work has been featured in Uppercase magazine, and craft publications such as Modern Patchwork and QuiltCon magazine. Read my blog archive, follow my current “microblogging” on Instagram, and contact me to get this writing party started.

I teach Watercolor Quilting and a variety of modern machine quilting classes. My classes are not only skill-building, they are confidence-boosting as well. I am available to teach for guilds, in local shops, or at conferences. I teach all ages, from middle schoolers to retired quilters and am able to cater to multiple levels of experience within one class. Find out more about my current offerings, and let’s DO THIS!

I speak to groups, guilds, and schools and my topics range from showcasing quilting techniques to general creative pep-talks. My lectures offer a refreshing mix of modern quilt history, inspirational stories, and creative coaching. All are welcome.
